Logan Forsythe is a husband, father of two, former Secret Service agent, attorney, and first-generation college graduate.
Raised by his single mother, Jill, in Lyon County. Growing up, times were tough. When Logan’s dad walked out, his mother was left as the sole provider for Logan and his siblings.
One of Logan’s first childhood memories is of his mother crying late one night after their car was repossessed and they received an eviction notice.
That night, she told him something she would remind her kids all their life, “People can take anything away from you, but the one thing they cannot take is your education.”
Logan started working at the age of seven, picking tobacco for $2 an hour. At thirteen, he taught himself how to repair engines.
From elementary to high school, Logan held multiple jobs, but always kept true to his mother’s advice, prioritizing his education and earning high grades in school.
All while playing on both the varsity baseball and basketball teams, and being active in Kentucky 4-H.
During his last year of high school, Logan found himself sleeping in his family’s van while attending school and working.
Through the kindness of his teachers, they would open up the school early for him to use the locker room to shower and get ready for school.
The summer after he graduated high school, Logan took a job as a 4-H camp counselor because the job came with a bed and housing for the summer.
By happenstance, that summer job also led Logan to meet his future wife, Brittany, and they have been together for 18 years since.
On the day he turned eighteen, Logan wanted to enlist in the Army to serve his country, but a physical disability disqualified him from doing so.
Instead, he attended the University of Kentucky, earning a degree in Biology, and went on to Law School at the University of Northern Kentucky; all while working full-time.
He accelerated his law education to graduate in a year and a half instead of the usual three, so he could better provide for his newborn son.
We’re heading to every county and corner of Kentucky, reminding folks that our Commonwealth and country are better when we work together and work toward solutions that improve everyone’s lives.

Out of law school, Logan was recruited to work at the Department of Defense, allowing him to fulfill his dream to serve his country.
Logan was stationed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, working on acquisitions and contract negotiations critical to our armed forces.
After three years with the Defense Department, Logan was recruited to join the Secret Service, an honor for him to again step up and serve his country. Graduating at the top of his class, Logan went on to protect Presidents of both parties and leaders from around the world.
After a car accident in 2022, Logan was injured and unable to continue serving as a federal agent.
He returned to practicing law in Kentucky, and instead of protecting world leaders, he is now protecting workers who are injured and discriminated against on the job.
Logan’s practice is focused on serving workers across rural Western Kentucky because he knows all communities should have a fighter in their corner.
Logan lives in Lexington with his wife, Brittany, who holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and works as an advisor for public schools in central Kentucky.
Brittany and Logan have two bright young kids, Maddox and Maggie, and a goldendoodle named Rocky, who volunteers as a therapy dog to comfort patients at the local hospital.
Logan has faced many hardships, but his story is not unique. As many Kentucky families struggle to make ends meet and provide a better life for their children, we need better leaders in Washington that will fight for what’s right.
